Ohio State Route 555 Promoted to Motorcyclists

March 16, 2017—ZANESVILLE, Ohio—The Zanesville-Muskingum County Convention and Visitors Bureau wants motorcyclists to travel on “The Triple Nickel.”

Over the years, SR 555 has become a popular route for motorcycle enthusiasts. The road’s tight twists and turns, elevation changes, and unparalleled scenery are appealing to many people who ride. Since the beginning of the Triple Nickel starts in Zanesville, the local Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) decided to capitalize on it. They created marketing materials that showcase the route and suggest to travelers that they begin and end their ride in Zanesville-Muskingum County.

The CVB distributes their Triple Nickel materials at trade shows, hotels, restaurants, attractions, motorcycle-related businesses and at the Welcome Center. Area representatives recently attended motorcycle expos in Cleveland and Indianapolis where they distributed over 5,000 pieces of literature. “Promoting Muskingum County and the Triple Nickel at motorcycle expos has been extremely successful for us,” commented Lori Kappes, Marketing and Group Sales Manager for the CVB. “We are always looking for new ways to attract people to the area and we have been overwhelmed with the response we have gotten from motorcyclists. These visitors contribute to our local economy by staying in our hotels, eating in our restaurants and shopping in our stores.”
